The Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation said Monday it will give $5 million to the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific, the largest single donation in the hospital's 58-year history.

The gift will help pay for the hospital's renovation and kicks off a $17.2 million capital campaign.

The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific has received a $5 million gift from The Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation — the largest donation it has ever received in its 58-year history.

The hospital on Monday said it’s starting a campaign to raise $17.2 million to pay for infrastructure upgrades including the installation of hurricane resistant windows and improved air conditioning..

The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific Foundation received a $5 million gift from the Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation Monday.

The hospital said the gift, which will support its capital campaign for renovations, is the single largest gift it has received.
